Phase I held in-depth interviews with municipal staff around the US to understand their unique needs, challenges, and perspectives – questions no one has ever really asked them before.\nThis survey ( https://cofc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8CIAURKSatYiQ0S?source=sc41 ), phase II, will quantify the economic and employment impacts that short-term rentals have on their communities (beyond the data that companies like Key Data already supply), distill the challenges of navigating local regulations, and uncover solutions for how our industry can work more collaboratively and effectively with local governments.\nThe resulting 2022 State of the STR Community Report will serve not just as a bank of new data but also as a trail map for local governments and our industry to come to the table together to create informed STR management solutions in a productive two-way conversation.\n
