Palm Desert STR Ordinance

STRs renting for stays less than twenty-seven consecutive days must apply for a Short-Term Rental Permit and abide by other operational, safety, and advertising requirements.

Palm Desert Lodging Taxes

STRs in Palm Desert are subject to the City’s 11% Transient Occupancy Tax and a 1% assessment by the the Greater Palm Springs Tourism Business Improvement District. Operators are also required to have a Transient Occupancy Tax Operator Permit.
