Visit Greater Palm Springs Partners With Rent Responsibly On Summer Campaign For Five-Star Short-Term Rental Stays

Resource Center and Six-Event Series Ensure Area Visitors and Communities Alike Enjoy a Successful Travel Season

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif., June 20, 2023 

Visit Greater Palm Springs, together with Rent Responsibly, launched the Five-Star Summer Hosting Essentials campaign. This new initiative provides short-term vacation rental hosts in the Coachella Valley with a resource center and event series empowering a five-star experience for both guests and local communities. The campaign enables premier hospitality through responsible hosting practices, insights into the latest travel trends, and guidance on summer preparedness.

“Our guests want to be good neighbors. By empowering short-term rental owners and operators with the resources they need to comply with local regulations, we can create a pleasant environment for neighbors in our communities,” said David Feltman, short-term vacation rental owner and Visit Greater Palm Springs board member. “Many nuisance issues and frustrations can be avoided when hosts are given the tools and support they need to be successful.”

The event series includes six lunch-and-learn webinars that are free to attend. Each event will share general and regional information as well as advice for each respective municipality’s local regulations:

• Indio: Tuesday, July 11 at Noon PT
• La Quinta: Wednesday, July 12 at Noon PT
• Palm Desert: Thursday, July 13 at Noon PT
• Unincorporated Riverside County: Tuesday, July 25 at Noon PT
• Palm Springs: Wednesday, July 26 at Noon PT
• Desert Hot Springs: Thursday, July 27 at Noon PT

Visitors to the resource center can access dozens of guides to local regulatory requirements, hospitality best practices, ways to reach new traveler segments, and strategies for heading off potential guest or property issues.
